Let them do something that they don’t normally get to do. A sense of freedom/being special. Connect with each other, enjoy themselves. Shed their burdens at least for day. (In the context of Nilgiris, being In a very conservative society.)
We wanted to do something different, an opportunity for them to do things that they don’t normally do.
